ENPlus Licenced Producer & Trader

ENPlus is the quality seal for the worldwide wood pellet supply chain, ensuring that all stages within production and delivery meant the customer was receiving the product in line with its specification. ENPlus manages the specification A1, A2 or B with A1 being the highest quality. This is required for most commercial and all domestic boilers which has now been adopted globally as one standard.

To meet ENPlus standards the wood pellets must be delivered through a certified trader, who by achieving the quality seal have demonstrated that deliveries will be under low pressure, have mechanical dust extraction and that the product can be traced back to source should any issues arise.
Product delivered by non certified traders will be deemed not to be to ENPlus standards.

Biomass Suppliers List Approved Supplier

The Biomass Suppliers List was introduced to ensure the sustainability of the wood fuel supply chain. It ensures that the harvesting of trees is managed in a sustainable manner, have been legally felled and replenished. It also ensures that the Greenhouse Gas emissions on the full supply chain, from forest to final delivery is below the specified criteria. It also ensures the wood fuel from outside the UK meets the GHG requirements of the scheme. BSL ensures Ofgem can make RHI payments to accredited installations & that the fuel being used is from a sustainable source.

FSC Certified Wood Fuels

The Forest Stewardship Council is an international, non governmental organisation dedicated to promoting responsible management of the world’s forests. The certification system looks at forestry management and chain of custody.
Forestry management is about maintaining the ecological function, biodiversity, economic viability and sustainability of the forest. The FSC logo is assurance to the consumer that trees were harvested from sustainable resources.
The chain of custody ensures that the FSC materials and products have been checked at every stage in the process. Any company involved within the process that an agreed percentage of the final product has timber from FSC certified suppliers. FSC is one of many schemes the Biomass Suppliers List use for the sustainability of wood pellets when approving manufacturers and suppliers.
